Being the owner of Lili Aurora I thought it only fitting to take this opportunity to show off my 27-week belly and my beautiful almost 4-year-old daughter as well!
My name is Natalie Grueninger and I have one gorgeous girl and am now awaiting the arrival of our second bundle of joy- a male bundle this time round!
Having tried to fall pregnant for six months, my best pregnancy moment was seeing those two long awaited for blue lines and feeling the first stirring or ‘butterflies’ as the sensation is so often described, in my womb at around 16 weeks.
The most challenging part so far is the general discomfort that comes with being a good 10kg heavier than usual. Aches and pains in places you never knew could ache! Just this morning I sat down on the kitchen floor to sort through some cupboards only to find that I could not ‘easily’ stand back up. My four-year old daughter very caringly commented “Oh, poor mummy. You’re going to have to stay there until daddy gets home from work.” Well, at least I was within reach of the fridge…
But regardless of the aches, pains, general insomnia and ‘moments’ on the floor I do love being pregnant and cherish what I can only describe as a miracle.
In terms of fashion, I truly believe that it’s vital, especially during pregnancy, to feel as good about yourself as possible. This means different things to different people but to me it means being comfortable and maintaining as close to the same sense of style as my pre-preggers self. This, needless to say, is not always easy especially when you witness yourself getting rounder by the minute. That’s why flattering, quality and stylish maternity wear is definitely worth the investment. It’s amazing what a well fitting, stylish garment can do for one’s self esteem. Oh, and as my hubby has recently re-discovered, accessories are the perfect pick me up regardless of how bloomin’ one’s belly gets… I adore bags – my ultimate weakness.
